About the Milbank Arms – A historic country inn
A luxury Inn on the edge of the stunning Yorkshire Dales offering fine food, real ales and relaxing stays.
Open since the 17th Century
Dating back to the 1600s and originally known as The Royal Oak, this historic building is steeped in history. The pub became known as The Milbank Hotel and latterly The Milbank Arms when the Milbank family took over the estate. Then the Turner family ran the pub between 1939 and 2018. Between 1860 and 2018, only three different names have been on the licence above the door.
Reopened in 2024
Renovated to provide luxury accommodation whilst maintaining the original character and history of the building, the pub is now run by James & Tamsin Hodgson and their team. With luxury rooms and cottages, local, seasonal food and a warm friendly welcome, it is the perfect get-away set in beautiful surroundings.
